Kelvin Droegemeier, director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, will participate in a question-and-answer session on Monday, March 9, from 9:15 to 10:30 a.m. at the Kissam Center Multipurpose Room, C210.
Droegemeier serves as President Trump’s science adviser and leads the Office of Science and Technology Policy in its coordination of science and technology initiatives across the federal government, including the Joint Committee on the Research Environment. JCORE examines administrative burdens on federally funded research; rigor and integrity in research; safe, inclusive and equitable research settings; and open research environments balanced with security.
Before joining the White House, Droegemeier served as vice president for research and Regents’ Professor of Meteorology at the University of Oklahoma.
