The Central Coast Astronomy Society is hosting a virtual star gazing event this weekend.

On Saturday April 18, at 7 p.m., participants will be able to take a tour of the night sky.

The event will focus on objects you can see with binoculars or a small telescope. Participants will also be shown how to use a star chart in order to help you navigate and find specific objects in the sky.

“This is actually a great form to learn the conciliation and learn about what is up there and learn about some really cool objects you can see with your naked eye,” says President of Central Coast Astronomy Society, Aurora Lipper.

The event is free and can accommodate up to 10,000 people.

Participants will be able to ask astronomers questions along the way.
